WHICH SADDLE SHOULD YOU CHOOSE?

The right saddle comes down to what you and your horse are actually doing together. If you're competing on the flat or over fences, our English range covers dressage and jump saddles, each built with the seat depth and flap shape that discipline demands. Working stock or spending long days in the saddle calls for a stock fender or traditional stock saddle, built deep and padded for comfort over distance. If you're after the versatility to move between yard work and the show ring, a Half Breed gives you that middle ground. And for reining, roping or barrel work, our Western range is purpose-built for the balance and horn support those disciplines need.

BUILT TO FIT, NOT JUST LOOK THE PART

A saddle that doesn't fit properly will cause soreness in your horse and an uncomfortable ride for you, no matter how well it's made. That's why many of our saddles are built on our SHX and SHXP adjustable tree systems, letting the fit be tuned to your horse's shape rather than forcing your horse to fit the saddle. It's a level of adjustability you won't find across most off the shelf ranges, and it means one saddle can keep fitting properly as your horse's condition changes throughout the seasons.

SIX GENERATIONS OF SADDLERY

Syd Hill has designed and manufactured saddles since 1865. That's not a marketing line
- it's six generations of the same family refining the same craft, which is why our saddles are built to be used hard and still hold their shape years on. When you buy a Syd Hill saddle, you're buying gear made by saddlers, not assembled from parts sourced to hit a price point
